LAMENTABILI SANE EXITU
Decree of the Holy Office, published under Pope St. Pius X against modernism on July 3, 1907. It condemned sixty-five propositions drawn from the writings of contemporary modernists, notably Alfred Loisy and George Tyrrell. The decree was shortly after followed (September 8) by the encyclical Pascendi Dominici Gregis.
