JETHRO
A shepherd-priest of a tribe called Kenites. Moses tended Jethro's sheep for forty years near Mount Horeb (Exodus 3:1-6). It was during this time that Yahweh appeared to Moses and gave him the mission of leading his people out of Egypt. He married Zipporah, Jethro's daughter, who bore him two sons, Gershom and Eliezer (Exodus 18:3-4).
