HALLOW
To recognize as sacred and therefore to treat as holy. In the Lord's prayer, "Hallowed be thy name," it means to honor God's name, i.e., to reverence God and give him the respect and obedience he deserves. It is, therefore, a petition that God may be known, loved, and served by all his creatures.
