EXPERIMENTAL SPIRITUALITY
A method of using knowledge gained from the observation of ascetical and mystical phenomena. It studies one's own and other people's experience in order to learn the marks peculiar to each state of soul as well as the virtues and dispositions peculiar to different persons. Carried to its full possibility, it not only tells how to practice the virtues but also discloses the principles that motivate the practice of sanctity.
