EUCHARISTICUM MYSTERIUM
Instruction of the Sacred Congregation of Rites on the worship of the Holy Eucharist. The document is in two parts, one dealing with principles and the other with practices. The main principle enunciated is that the Eucharist is Jesus Christ, and therefore to be honored as the heart of Catholic piety. The main practices urged on all the faithful are: 1. maintaining the spirit of oneness in the celebration of Mass; 2. restoring the centrality of Sunday, centered around the Eucharist; 3. fostering Holy Communion among the faithful; 4. reserving the Blessed Sacrament; 5. promoting devotion to the Blessed Sacrament through exposition and benediction (May 25, 1967) (Feast of Corpus Christi).
