ELEVATION OF THE HOST

Raising of the consecrated Host for the faithful's adoration at Mass, before the consecration of the chalice, which is elevated separately for adoration immediately afterward. This separate elevation is to profess the Real Presence of Christ's Body already before the consecration of the chalice.
