DIRECTION, SPIRITUAL
The guidance voluntarily sought by a person who is intent on progress in the spiritual life. the need for some spiritual direction for anyone seriously striving for sanctity is recognized in the Church's long history. In essence, spiritual direction is the positive assistance that a person receives from someone who is sepcially qualified by education, experience, or personal sanctity to discern the will of God in the practice of Christian virtue.
