CREATOR

God as Maker of all things from nothing. The earliest Latin creeds profess belief in "God the Father almighty, Creator [creatorem] of heaven and earth." Also some early Greek creeds speak of God "the Creator [ktist_n] and Maker [poi_t_n]," although the Nicene Creed since the sixth century says simply "Maker" both in the Greek and Latin and now in the vernacular translations of the liturgy.
