CONTUMACIOUS
In ecclesiastical law the attitude of a person who shows no regard for the authority of the Church, knowing perfectly well that he is violating its laws. (Etym. Latin con-, thoroughly + tumere, to swell, be proud: contumacia, insolent and stubborn perverseness.)
