CONSERVATION
The act of preserving something in existence, activity, or any other perfection or state. Commonly applied to God's act of preserving creatures in their existence and perfections. This is positive, essential, and direct conservation inasmuch as God maintains the causal action necessary for the perdurance of the world. (Etym. Latin conservare,to preserve.)
