CHRISTUS DOMINUS
Decree on the Pastoral Office of Bishops in the Catholic Church, of the Second Vatican Council. A unique document because of its extensive decrees. Its focus is on two things: to urge bishops to co-operate with one another and with the Bishop of Rome for the welfare of the universal Church, and to legislate in detail the ways in which bishops are to work together in the modern communication-conscious world (October 28, 1965).
