CHALDEAN RITE
The ritual and canonical tradition of Catholics in Irag and Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, and Turkey. It is also called the Syro-Oriental Rite, and its adherents are former Nestorians who returned to Catholic unity in 1692. Catholics who follow the Syro-Malabarese Rite in India are also associated with the Chaldean Rite.
