CANA

A village in Galilee where Jesus performed the miracle of turning water into wine at the marriage feast (John 2:1-11). Later, when he returned to Cana, he performed another miracle in curing the dying son of a court official (John 4:46-53). (Etym. Hebrew qanah, reed; Greek kana.)
