BENE PLACITO
By your leave, or consent. Said of actions performed by an inferior with the approval, at least tacit, of his superior. Sometimes applied to the unwarranted approval that papal documents or decrees had to obtain from civil authorities before the faithful were allowed to carry them into practice.
