ADOPTION, SUPERNATURAL

The act of God's goodness by which he takes us as his own children to make us heirs to the happiness of heaven. Unlike legal adoption, supernatural adoption transforms the persons adopted by transforming them into the likeness of Christ and making them by grace coheirs with Christ to the kingdom of heaven.
