New Ebook: You Are Weird, God Is Odd

By Dr. Jeff Mirus (bio - articles - send a comment) | October 01, 2012 4:30 PM

Peter Mirus’ collected essays from CatholicCulture.org between 2004 and 2006 have just been released in ebook form. Long-time readers will remember Peter’s wide variety of topics, unusual perspectives and frequent humor. While Peter still writes shorter pieces for The City Gates, he is not presently writing the longer items which are typical of this collection.

The title of the ebook is You Are Weird, God Is Odd, after a memorable essay of the same name. The issues Peter wrote about in these years were mostly selected in response to concerns raised by readers on the website, which also accounts for the great range of the collection. In no particular order, the author addresses Catholic superheroes, Buddhism, spam, parenting, Modernism, arguing, the Chastisement, Tolkien, clergy and laity, Catholic social teaching, pornography, diplomacy, environmentalism and nearly a score of other topics.

As with all of our ebooks, this one is distributed at shop.catholicculture.org in a ZIP file containing three different ebook formats—.mobi (Amazon Kindle), .epub (Barnes & Noble Nook, iPAD and other standard ereaders), and .pdf (readable on almost any computer device). Within the next two days, You Are Weird, God Is Odd will also be available in the Kindle and Nook stores.
