Bishop on Board

A few days ago, we received an encouraging email from Bishop Hugh Slattery, MSC, in South Africa. I think it says something wonderful about the scope and impact of what we do here at CatholicCulture.org. It may even provide incentive for a a special Lenten donation to our work:
Greetings from South Africa. I’m very happy to keep on praying for your wonderful work and telling people about it. I retired a couple of years ago as Bishop of Tzaneen and am at present running a parish near the border with Zimbabwe. I try to help the people in the area of abortion, contraception and other life issues and of course in the whole area of HIV&AIDS. We are also involved in refugee work. You are doing a great service to the Church and to humanity—we all benefit from it.
That is very special, indeed.
