Urgent: With a $60,000 Challenge Grant in the balance, I need your help.

This Fall, eighty-five of our Boosters joined forces with seven other generous donors to offer a Challenge Grant of $60,000 to make it easier for CatholicCulture.org to raise the funds it needs to continue its mission in 2019. As of this writing, we have matched only $31,000, which means we still have $29,000 to go.

Our deadline to win the Challenge Grant is the start of Advent, December 2nd. If you have already contributed during this Challenge Campaign, which began on October 18th, I thank you. If you have not yet helped with this funding project, I ask you to do so immediately.

If you benefit from our Catholic World News service, our uniquely balanced Catholic commentary and analysis, our resource library and our daily spiritual materials, I hope you will make a contribution to our Fall Challenge Campaign now. Your gift will be matched; moreover, winning the entire grant will ensure that we can continue our Catholic mission in the coming year. We simply cannot afford to finish 2018 in the red.

The purpose of CatholicCulture.org is to enrich faith, strengthen the Church and form Catholic culture. Our materials are used by some ten million Catholics and potential converts each year, at a cost of less than four cents apiece. CatholicCulture.org is by far the most widely visited Catholic website with a news service in the world.

All of our materials are always available free of charge. In addition to being used directly on our website, they are picked up and recirculated in newspapers, church bulletins, blogs, other websites, radio, television and social media, in more than 200 countries.

CatholicCulture.org depends entirely on user support, which means we are not beholden to any special interest. The generosity of our users ensures an independence that enables us to assess Catholic issues faithfully and fairly, with no special axes to grind.
