And now for something completely different: The Los Angeles archdiocese is trying to withhold confidential files from prosecutors in a sex-abuse inquiry. The arguments raised by archdiocesean lawyers are roughly the same as the ones rejected by Massachusetts judges when the Boston archdiocese trotted them out.
