Interestingly, the document on homosexual civil unions is dated June 3, the memorial of St. Charles Lwanga and companions, who suffered torture and martyrdom rather than consent to the homosexual advances of the Ugandan king.

We need much more to promote devotion to the Uganda Martyrs. Their story needs to be trumpeted from every pulpit. The clear message is: for Christians death by fire is preferable to perverted sexual acts. Let's work at this. Ask the intercession of the Roman Catholic and Anglican martyrs of Uganda to stop the ooze morass now threatening to engulf us.
