Russia has had one of the highest abortion rates in the [world] for a long time. However, abortion, used as the country's primary means of birth control, is finally on the decline. The abortion rate is still astronomical: For every 10 births there are about 13 abortions, compared with roughly three in the United States.

Nikolai Gogol's Dead Souls deserves to be more read here in North America than it currently is. Is it only me that observes an eerie connection between Gogol's Dead Souls and certain pro abortion politicians?

If it is so that abortion and breast cancer are connected, I would like to find out if anyone has access to the rate of breast cancer in Russia. There should be a tremendous amount of this cancer due to the multiple abortions that Russian women have.
