Does the heart good...
By Fr. Wilson (articles ) | Jun 17, 2003
This article from the Phoenix paper focuses on the reaction of area Cathlics to the situation with their Bishop, and it's good to see that Phoenix citizens (Phoenixians??) will be reading this kind of balanced, charitable reaction from Catholic people. Nothing said here denies the seriousness of the matter; but sorrow and restraint characterize the comments.

Truly, Bishop O'Brien of the Diocese of Phoenix has had his share, while under pressure to address the Crisis & Scandals of the Catholic Church, along with this lastest misfortune of a hit & run accident. The Duties of the Episcopate must be overwhelming at this time. In Unity of the Catholic Faithful our Heartfelt Condolences & Prays for the Frailty of Human Life and In Memorial of Jim Lee Reed, and to his Family who will Mourn and Miss Him. May the Lord Sustain them with His Spiritual Support.
