pursuing poverty in style?

By Diogenes (articles ) | Dec 10, 2010

Sister Marie Thornton, the former financial vice-president of Iona College, faces criminal charges for allegedly milking $1.2 million from college funds. According to one report, the embezzled funds helped to finance her penchant for trips to the casinos of Atlantic City.

Prosecutors had no comment as to how the accused nun is doing on chastity and obedience.
