Off the Record
the staid old media
By Diogenes | September 02, 2008
Congratulations, Sarah Palin. You've got the New York Times talking-- on page 1, above the fold-- about whether it's wise for a mother of growing children to hold a demanding full-time job. Somehow I don't think a liberal Democratic candidate could have accomplished that.
Congratulations, Bristol Palin. You've got the Boston Globe worried about out-of-wedlock pregnancies.
But that's enough political news. Let's flip to the Entertainment section, and see which teenage starlets are showing off their newborns to the Hollywood media.

Next, they will coming at her for tearing off a mattress tag. In 24 hours, the mainstream media went through the Palin family's lives in a way they never did for Obama, Clinton, or Edwards. For all the lame charges of "double standard" and "hypocrisy" it it the mainstream media themselves who are guilty.
