discrete observations on convention wisdom

Thoroughly disproving the nostrum that the apple never falls far from the tree, US Senator "finger puppet" Bob Casey Jr.--son of the late Pennsylvania Gov. Robert Casey--rose to the Democrat Convention podium giving a speech suggesting that the Democrat party is becoming pro-life. Catholic Senator Casey was hand-picked in 2006 by Sen. Chuck Schumer (featured speaker for National Abortion Rights Action League--NARAL) to run against pro-life stalwart Senator Rick Santorum. Friends of Uncle Di will recall the history of Senator Casey's father who was shunned at the 1992 Democratic convention and denied the opportunity to deliver a speech because of his well-known opposition to abortion rights.
The mainstream media repeated the word string "Biden" "Scranton" "Blue Collar" "Catholic" some 375,041 times in this Sunday's news cycle.
Democrat presidential hopeful Sen Barak Obama, reluctant to pick a running mate in Catholic Senator Bob Casey with less national experience than himself, selected instead Delaware Senator Joe Biden as his vice-presidential running mate in an attempt to real in the Catholic vote in the critical swing-state of Pennsylvania. Senator Biden is an affable plagiarist, braggart, and ardent supporter of abortion rights. Obama (endorsed by NARAL) lost badly to Hillary Clinton in the Democrat Pennsylvania primary after it was leaked that Obama, at a private San Francisco fundraiser a few days before the Pennsylvania primary, spoke candidly of rural Pennsylvanian Christians as bitter folk who cling to their guns and Bibles--denominations, calibers and translations were not specified by Obama.
Monday morning, Archbishop Charles Chaput of Denver offered to meet privately with Sen. Biden after he said that Biden should not receive Holy Communion as long as the Senator clings to his position on the legal right to an abortion.
Cardinal McCarrick's personal secretary has not confirmed or denied that his party invitation to Archbishop Chaput was lost in the mail.
NARAL gives Biden a lifetime pro-abortion rating of 72%, and a 100% rating for four out of the last five years. Sen. Biden grew up in a Catholic blue collar household in Scranton, Pennsylvania, according to mainstream media outlets.
The Democrat National Convention Committee did not invite the Archbishop of Denver to provide a prayer or invocation at the national convention now meeting in Denver.
The Hill reports thus:
(Editor's note: *unprecedented **Democrat ***human life begins at the moment of conception)
Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Democrat Representative Nancy Pelosi, stated on the Sunday talk show Meet the Press that the Catholic Church had made up its mind on the inherent evil of abortion only in the last fifty years.
No word yet on whether Archbishop Chaput will be given the podium at the November meeting of the USCCB. The scheduling committee awaits the outcome of the US presidential election.
There are at least six bishops --and counting--who were neither impressed nor amused by Representative Pelosi's historical and theological acumen.
There is no truth to the rumor that two presbyters, one in Rome, one in San Francisco, have abandoned their attempt to finish the lyrics to the song "How do you solve a problem like Pelosi."
Along with Senator Schumer, Pelosi is a featured speaker for NARAL. Speaker Pelosi says that she receives Holy Communion regularly.
Communications have not been established with the Archdiocese of San Francisco in the last 48 hours.
The Drudge Report today linked above the fold to three articles on statements about or by bishops of the Catholic Church. None of them made reference to the pederasty scandal.
Former President Bill Clinton, impeached over perjured court testimony about his adulterous affairs, will be giving a major address at the Democrat Convention in Denver. Convention delegates are receiving his calls. Clinton was endorsed by NARAL in both of his presidential runs.
According to "finger puppet" Bob, the Democrat party is becoming pro-life.
Update: Through the diocesan spokesman, Bishop Saltarelli of the Diocese of Wilmington has reiterated a standing policy that Sen. Joe Biden is not allowed to speak at Catholic schools. The Bishop punted on the issue of Holy Communion. Bishop Saltarelli retires as the Wilmington ordinary in 12 days.
The expression "seamless garment" has neither been seen nor heard from in the last 16 days.
The Democratic National Convention ratified its pro-abortion plank, reiterated its desire to strike down the Hyde Amendment (which prohibits the Federal government from funding abortions through Medicaid), and no longer desires that abortions be "rare."
