Are you curious to know how Ray Flynn (former Mayor of Boston, former US ambassador to the Holy See, former president of the Catholic Alliance, former president of Your Catholic Voice, current chairman of Catholic Citizenship) voted in the Massachusetts presidential primary on Super Tuesday?
"Sure, I’ll tell you who I voted for," Flynn told Boston Herald columnist Peter Gelzinis. "Hillary Clinton."
Hillary Clinton?!?
Now are you curious how a pro-life Catholic would explain that vote? You won't wait long:
I could give you plenty of reasons why, too, but the first one is the most important: Her husband gave me a job. And a pretty good one.
Oh. Other people think that way; they just usually aren't quite so candid.
“Hell,” Flynn chuckled, “I’d vote for you if you gave me a job."

Unity candles are pre-conciliar? Our daughter had one at her wedding, in a Catholic church. Are these not to be used?

I have seen the unity candle done once at a (non-Catholic) friend's wedding and was quite impressed because it was intended to demonstrate the trinitarian nature of marriage - man and woman with their flames taken from and joined with the flame of God. I wouldn't recommend it as part of Catholic nuptials but the couple might do it at the reception to good effect.
