And so much for the insistence that all of the "bad times" had their origins in the long ago and far away pre Vatican II educated priests. The Navy chaplain will meet justice in the military justice system. Perhaps the Vatican would like to send an observer to see how it is done.

and the beat goes on! the abuse scandal has died down because the media has other fish to fry. not because it has been stopped. the ongoing anger at the scandal of cardinals and bishops being shielded from the effects of their failure to act simmers below the surface. the 'attack' on mahony is just one manifestation, the falling donations to the annual diocesan appeals is another. b16 should recognize the problem and act on it while he's here next april. pray for him.
