obeisance

Astute observation by Dale Price:

Voice of the Faithful is focused on grasping at the levers of ecclesial power -- the dread clericalization of the laity which changes "kiss my ring" to "genuflect before my degree."

Meant to say, If they pursue the advocacy of a married priesthood, they should be forced, by “truth in advertising,” to remove all references to the Catholic Church, because that position is most certainly at odds with Catholic doctrine.

What exactly is VOTF being “faithful” to? Certainly not Roman Catholicism. It seems to me that their allegiances are primarily to their own narcissism. If they pursue the advocacy, they should be forced, by “truth in advertising,” to remove all references to the Catholic Church, because that position is most certainly at odds with Catholic doctrine.

So is my master's degree better than Mary Pat's bachelor's degree? Doesn't it get confusing? Do all the Ph.D.'s on the board have to genuflect to her? And then do ex-priests with Ph.D.'s rate higher than priests with only a bachelor's degree, and then what if the priest with the BA is a bishop? They should stick to trying to fix Wellesley Youth Soccer. They still haven't figured out if a Volvo station wagon has to yield to a Range Rover, and the new Mercedes M class is confusing everyone.
