"The coming generation has the possibility of encountering Jesus in a context where they are free from traditional narrowness," Dublin's Archbishop Diarmuid Martin told a congregation at the Church of Ireland Theological College last week. He continued:
Some may choose a path of purely subjective religiosity or indeed choose to escape into pathological religiosity which is little more than a comfort zone of flight from the responsibilities for corporeity and the realities of the world.

Steve214 is absolutely right. If homosexuality is normal, then sex-segregated bathrooms, dorms, etc. are utterly meaningless. And corporations that promote the homosexual agenda while ruthlessly outlawing pornography in the workplace and enforcing same-sex room sharing at off-site events are acting a total contradiction.

The Holy Father said it best: don't blame the messenger. Expose sexual abuse and root it out, beginning with where it's most rampant -- grown men abusing teenage boys. Raise the barrier. If a candidate for the priesthood attracted toward boys or other men, he is not to be considered. If a person already in the priesthood is shown to have deviated from his vow of chastity, he should be dismissed forthwith. End of problem.

The fact that the bishops admitted in 1995 that the hundreds of men who fondle the teen-age daughters of their live-in lovers are the majority of molesters and did NOTHING to discourage divorce among Catholics is also a scandal.

Considering the number of bishops who have been "outed", no one should be surprised that the bishops were not addressing the issue of homosexual activity in the priesthood. And while we have moved to protect children, I have yet to see any house cleaning visible concerning the number of priests who are sexually active with same gender adults; me, I have only lost one pastor to AIDS. Who knows, maybe it is not that significant in numbers. And maybe I should sell that bridge...

This is truly astounding. First, the scandal is primarily homosexual BY DEFINITION (males having sex with other males). Secondly, homosexuality throws a curve ball at society: we have same sex bathrooms, showers, monasteries, rectories, and camping trips with youths on the assumption that we have neutralized sexual temptation.
