Right. That'll fix 'em. You want them to stop fighting, so keep out the Prince of Peace. Got it.

Well, that's the AP's take. Other sources suggest the Mass was cancelled due to fears for the Mass-goers' safety. The Church of the Nativity has been the site of hostage-taking, shoot-outs, assaults on the clergy, and widespread desecration and looting once before.
