ah, now we understand

By Diogenes (articles ) | Nov 13, 2006

Some prelates from Africa, Asia and Latin America have said they cannot treat Jefferts Schori as their equal.

Hard news. In the mainstream media mode.

Since the Vatican's 1854 (I think) ruling on the invallidity of Anglican orders, one could argue fairly well that Jefferts Schori is the equal of Anglican prelates around the world. Perhaps they all should spend some time in their private chapels, praying before the "real absence" for the grace to enter into authentic ecumenical dialoge with the Catholic Church so they can repent and come home.

Inequality of human beings doesn't sound particularly Christian to me!

She certainly creates new opportunities for diversity, ecumenism and dialogue.

I hate to say it but the other Anglican bishops are wrong. They are her equal. All are pretend bishops in a church that pretends to have valid ordinations. (sorry if that sound mean spirited but it is true.) Come home to Rome boys we need you and you need Christ's Real Presence.

Shouldn't we be calling it the Non-Episcopal Church?

Madame JS, perhaps you need to beware your own vain pursuit of accolades and respective greetings in your long robes and, removing the shades from your own blind eyes, see beyond your own narrow self-interest.

"Jefferts Schori marched into the sanctuary led by nine young acolytes--eight of them girls" - Before long it will be a completely female "church".
