dick's a-cold

By Diogenes (articles ) | May 12, 2003

You gotta love this: Richard "I have seen the future and it works" McBrien in the role the role of Lear, stumbling over the blasted heath and cursing his ingrate daughters.

Nothing has been more frustrating for [my] generation than the various forms of retrenchment that have been occurring over the past two decades and more. Bishops who were shaped by that conciliar experience have been replaced by those who were not at the council, many of whom, if they had been present, would more likely have sided with the defeated minority on many issues than with the prevailing majority.
