Los Angeles, Chile. Still, the words carry a certain thrill of their own.

Clearly you do not want to be taken as a serious commentator. And I'm glad.

Man, Diogenes, you really got me there. I mean, this Sunday is the Solemnity of the Epiphany (January 6 in other dioceses) and the resignation of the Cardinal Archbishop of LA, California, would definitely have been a Manifestation of the Lord's Divine Presence in Los Angeles, with the emphasis that "nothing is impossible for God." In the meantime, prayers continue for the intercession of Saint Jude and Saint Thomas the Apostle....

Yikes, had me there for a second. Even though it would really be *archbishop*. But a girl can dream, right? "Even so, Lord . . ."

You got me. My initial thought was, is it THE Cardinal Archbishop? (as opposed to an auxiliary). April Fools!

My heart skipped a beat! Seriously, a good New Year's resolution would be to pray daily for all priests and bishops who are tempted to violate their sacred vows, that they might encounter the risen Christ like the two disciples on the road to Emmaus, and that they might faithfully follow Him.
