 Off the Record

the fun side of feticide

By Diogenes (articles ) | January 03, 2006 3:17 PM

Passing one's days in the company of abortion droogs, as you might expect, broadens the intellect as much as it sharpens the wit. Witness the following from the NOW website, in which president Kim Gandy vindicates the sisterhood against unjust and envious accusations of stolidity:

One too-frequent charge against feminists is that we lack a degree of levity. A Ms. Magazine cover once showed a cartoon version of a man saying to a woman, "Do you know the women's movement has no sense of humor?" To which she replies, "No, but if you hum a few bars, I can fake it!"

Thank you, Kim.

Our next offering, from the same source, which I am not making up, consists of one of Ms. Gandy's "Carols in the key of F." She notes that it's sung to the tune of "Jingle Bells." Brace yourselves.

Dashing through the snow
On our way to Capitol Hill
NOW rounds we will show,
And we won't stop until

We save the Su-preme Court
'Cause it protects our rights
We'll protest any nominee
Who won't support our fights.

Oh! Not the church, not the state,
We'll decide our fate
Oh what fun it is to plan
For the 2006 debates!

Go ahead. Quit your day job.

Does that sign on the podium in front of her really say, "MARS"?

Let the feminists bellow. Allow them their platform. Let them talk, talk, and talk. We will pray, pray, and pray and abortion will be defeated and the culture of life will be lifted up. For my fellow Catholics who ignore infanticide while opposing the death penalty, I ask you to join us in our fight to preserve innocent life. When abortion is illegal and life is welcomed from conception then we will help you shut down death row.

Didst thou hear these verses? O, yes, I heard them all, and more too; for some of them had in them more feet than the verses would bear.

I recall visiting what was left of an ancient Cistercian abbey and seeing a beautiful statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary shielding with her mantle the souls of layfolk and men and women religious. It has always been a source of comfort for me when all the news seems to bring us is the image of invidious NOW hags apparently in a state interminable PMS who are bound and determined to punish the entire world for their gender confusion and XX chromosomal contempt.
