The seminary rector for the Rockville Centre, NY diocese, Msgr. Francis Schneider, has abruptly resigned, citing "personal reasons."
The resignation came shortly after the seminary was visited by an inspection team, as part of the nationwide visitation of American seminaries. A spokesman for Bishop William Murphy told Newsday that there was "no connection between the seminary's evaluation and Schneider's resignation."
From this I conclude that there is a connection between the seminary's evaluation and Schneider's resignation.
"Nothing to see here, folks. Keep moving." Yet curiosity makes you keep looking back, and wondering if it might happen again, soon, in another diocese.

Over and over we hear of bishops lying through their teeth to us. We should all quietly reflect about the sheer evil of this state of affairs. Bishops are apostles. They should be far on the road to personal sanctity, nearly saints, before even entering in to this office. How else can they be expected to lead their priests and their increasingly ignorant and errant flock to "the promised land?" What must God think when His apostles are known to be such accomplished liars??? Frightening!
