    May I add a second comment, a day later? They would make perfect sense to holly, of the blog "But I digress..." mentioned in Diogenes' comment, ex ore infantium et lactantium, above.

    The readers of this colums are no doubt mostly of a certain age. Would those stories of moral courage even make sense to, say, high school or even college seniors today?
