You know, I have been doing lots of thinking and these carnal priests who desire marriage, femi-nuns who wish for ordination, and openly gay clergy can have it ALL by simply going to the Episcopal church, "the little church that can't say no," which is where I came to the Catholic Church FROM. Seriously! The EC has priests and priestesses and they can marry from a choice of all three sexes. They even have openly gay bishops, female bishopettes, an official pro-choice position on abortion.

The cancer is very well progressed...the wound is very deep...the roots of the weeds have wrapped themselves around the grain...this isn't going to be fixed easily... Perhaps this is the thinking:Today's sems are better equipped to ignore her than today's college students. Besides, there are Sister (and Fr.) Disciplette's all over the diocese that these future priests will have to deal with. So, this is a part of their formation. Problem is if she make decisions on candidates, or weak Rector.

I guess "put him on the rack and stretched him out" was left out as an option for a reason?

Please, Diogenes, please tell us that Cdl.George did not appoint Judith "trail of radcial feminist ideologies" Dwyer to his major seminary... If she did get appointed, that certainly will hasten the demise of yet another seminary in the US. Let's pray that Diogenes' blog will get to Cdl. George as a wake-up call... although, I thought that his Eminence always spoke/acted with the Mind and Heart of Jesus and His Church....

Cardinal George is a lot like his brother, Archbishop Levada of San Francisco---actually, technically already in charge of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. If Pope Benedict appointed Levada to his old job, he can have little objection to George.

Pier Giorgio, Cdl George knows her track record, and the track record of all the major colleges in the area, chapter and verse.

As a neighbor to Chicago, I don't have to ask. Cdl George is in the mold of JPII. He talks the talk, but he won't govern. He has also encouraged a lot of Traditional Catholics but accepts the vetoes issued by Bernadin's chancery officials over the resulting plans. Real Catholics are waiting for his successor and hoping there will still be a diocese here for him when he comes.

ah, man, you're kidding me? did he really app't her to the board at his major seminary? just when you though there MIGHT be a strong Cardinal or two. somethings I'd guess you'd have to tolerate, but all but one of the things Dwyer allowed or disallowed would seem INtolerable. Does he know of her track record?

Is the list of things that Cdl George did supposed to be a question, such as which of these things he has done? Or has he actually done all of these things?
