Oh, good. The Catholics of the US will be represented at the Pope's funeral. The presence of these legislative leaders will, no doubt, make Cardinal McCarrick comfortable.

Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin (who proclaims himself to be Catholic) will also be there. In recent weeks, Paul Martin has put Calgary's Bishop Fred Henry on trial at a human rights tribunal over hate crimes. The hate crime? Bishop Henry has unreluctantly affirmed church teaching on marriage as that of a man and a woman.

Let's hope Cardinal Arinze steps up to administer Holy Communion when Kennedy and Kerry present themselves ... the cardinal can bless them and give them a lovetap on the forehead!

Let's hope that Cardinal Ratzinger tells Cardinal McCarrick the rules for receiving Communuion. If you should not receive it should not be given. Maybe he could give a list to Cardinal McCarrick's task force.
