One of the evangelicals referred to "the Council of Trent that called all evangelicals 'devils' and really denied that evangelicals and Protestants can have a place in eternity." Does anyone know what document or passage he is referring to?

This reminds me of what Peter Kreeft likes to say (from my aging memory, so possibly paraphrased a little bit): The believing Southern Baptist is surprised to find that he has more in common with the believing Roman Catholic than he does with the non-believing Northern Baptist.
