Off the Record

"If gold ruste, what shal iren do?"

By Diogenes (articles ) | April 29, 2003 9:34 AM

Father Jose Angel Salazar, a priest of the Diocese of Corpus Christi (pastor of Sacred Heart Church in Mathis, TX and member of the diocesan presbyteral council), has welcomed the recent CDF document on political life by giving $250 to the presidential campaign of Howard Dean. According to tray.com, the date of the gift was March 31.

While Dean is 100% pro-abortion, as is typical for Democratic candidates, he's a particularly zealous missionary for the culture of death, for he is the only governor to date who has signed into law a bill recognizing homosexual civil unions.

Our Lord teaches in today's Gospel reading that the Spirit blows where He wills. Perhaps the Spirit will move some to call or write letters (with documentation enclosed) to Father Salazar's superiors to inform them of the incident: Most Rev. Edmond Carmody, Bishop of Corpus Christi, PO Box 2620, Corpus Christi, TX 78403; Cardinal Dario Castrillon Hoyos, Prefect, Congregation for the Clergy, Piazza Pio XII 3, 00193 Rome, Italy. The Diocese of Corpus Christi's phone number is 361-882-6191; its fax number is 361-654-1270.
