the reason for our hope

Dr. David Hope, the out-going Anglican Archbishop of York -- let me try that again: Dr. David Hope, the retiring Anglican Archbishop of York ... One more time: Dr. David Hope, the current Anglican Archbishop of York who'll be leaving the job soon, complains to the Telegraph about the damage done to the Church of England by homophobia. The best among several gems:
When asked about his own sexuality, Dr Hope reiterated the explanation that he gave as Bishop of London in 1995 to the gay rights activist, Peter Tatchell, that it was "a grey area". "I made the point very clearly then," he said. "I continue to live by that. I'm not going to say anything further."
Let me be perfectly clear: it's fuzzy.
