REVENGE OF THE MOORS

By Fr. Wilson (articles ) | September 25, 2004 10:57 AM

Of all the countries to be even thinking of this... the Socialist government of Spain has already determined to confront the Church, wrest away from her the last remnants of her special status in Spanish society, remove the crucifix from classrooms, etc. But now a controversy has erupted over the extent of the plans, which include halving state support of the Church, diverting funds to Islamic institutions and devoting resources to teaching about Mohammedanism.

The night draweth nigh, when no man can work.

Oh, what is it about the Spaniards, that they are incapable of reading and learning from history(2 entirely different things)? The razing of Toledo and Compostela, the 'reign' of Al-Mansur..Are these people incapable of human reason? Oh, I had forgotten: this was the country that produced Cortez, Pizarro, Nunez de Vaca, and that most corrupt of European monarchal families, the Borbons(Pepe Botellas and the whole gang). If they won't look after themselves, then no-one will.Ah, history.

Revenge indeed. Didn't the Arians secularize North Africa and the Middle East in the 5th and 6th centuries? Look who's there now.
