almsgiving XVIII

Suppose you're a priest of the Diocese of Corpus Christi. Ordained in 1985, you're pastor of Sacred Heart Church in Mathis. It's Lent, and your thoughts naturally turn to almsgiving. You have $250 in your pocket and are inspired to give it away. To whom, or what, do you direct your alms?
(a) to the promising new Catholic college in Corpus Christi
(b) to another spiritual or corporal work of mercy
(c) to Howard Dean, whose ardent support for homosexual unions rivals his ardent support for abortion
If you're Fr. Jose Angel Salazar, your answer is (c).

Another potential inmate for a future penal monastery in Siberia. I think a good now would be Our Lady of Bedlam.

Father Salazar: Since you do not stand with the Church and Her Teachings, and are actively working against Jesus and His Church by funding those standing in opposition, would you please have the moral courage and integrity to resign as pastor of Sacred Heart Church and ask your bishop to suspend your faculties as a priest. ie, You have a moral obligation to stop lying to Jesus and His Church and deceiving His people.
