The US bishops speak out on tax equity

Yesterday the American bishops' conference issued a tough statement on US tax policy, saying that excessive income taxes put intolerable burdens on families.
Oh, wait. That's wrong. Yesterday the American bishops' conference didn't say anything at all about excessive taxation.
And not just yesterday. They've never said anything about how high taxes put intolerable burdens on families.
