Former Bishop Thomas L. Dupre has hired a prominent criminal defense lawyer, who said he advised his client against responding to allegations that he sexually abused two boys more than two decades ago.

Your honor, my client does not have a detailed memory of every little incident that might have happened twenty years ago ... and eh ... moreover ... he has seen Catholic dioceses bringing about reconciliation, including the Archdiocese of Boston under, eh, Archbishop Sean O'Malley.
