never mind...

By Diogenes ( articles ) | Feb 02, 2004

Rebecca, the blogger at Journey to Vatican III, attended a lecture at Gonzaga University by Fr. J. Bryan Hehir, formerly dean of Harvard Divinity School and until recently head of Catholic Charities USA.

All in all Hehir's talk was thought-provoking and filled with hope. About the abuse scandal, Hehir believes that "all that is to be known is already known." He believes the media has moved on and "I don't think the New York Times will run 35 stories on it in 2004."

Well, I'm glad that's behind us.

Bishop Grahmann, or Cardinal Mahony, or -- why not? -- Archbishop Weakland can speed-dial the Vatican and tell them to cancel the "new and serious" seminary visitation we were promised in April 2002. It no longer serves a purpose -- all that is to be known is already known.
