"A certain type"

Today President Bush signed into law a bill banning "a certain type of abortion," the AP news story tells us.
By "a certain type" of abortion, they mean partial-birth abortion. But the abortion industry doesn't approve of that term, and AP is kowtowing, as usual, to the pro-abort crowd.
In this case, however, the effect is downright comical.
If the virus of political-correctness infects other areas of the newsroom, consider the other headlines that might soon appear:
- "US Marines meet a certain type of unpleasantness in Iraq"
- "Leading economic indicators show a certain type of good news"
- "Super Bowl yields a certain type of result"
Ah, journalistic standards. You gotta love them.
