wanted: priests to take internet survey

In a research project for the Year for Priests, the New Media in Education Lab is collecting information about how Catholic priests use the internet. The project is named PICTURE, which stands for “Priests’ Information and Communications Technology Use in their Religious Experience.” (You can see why they wanted to use an acronym.) The goal is to collect survey responses from 400,000 priests worldwide.

PICTURE is an international effort. The New Media in Education lab is located at the Università della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano, Switzerland, and the project is co-sponsored by the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome. The effort has been endorsed by the Vatican’s Congregation for Clergy. More information is available on the project’s web site.

PICTURE has asked the Catholic Culture project to help, so we’re passing along the request to the priests in our readership. If you have a few minutes to spare, please take the PICTURE survey.
