We depend on the media for many things, and can often use it to our advantage, including spiritual advantage. For example, we learned today--just after it happened--that Pope Benedict slipped in his bedroom while on vacation and fractured his right wrist: Pope Fractures Wrist in Fall. Surely this should prompt each of us to say a prayer for the Holy Father.
Also, I should call your compassionate attention to the death this morning of Phil Lawler's mother: Mary A. Lawler, RIP. Phil is very aware of the bitter-sweetness of her passing--almost certainly sweet for Mary, inevitably bitter for those left behind. Many of you have prayed for Mary and will want to say one more prayer for the repose of her soul, and for her family....
