We have had too many papal homilies which appear to denigrate those concerned about the difference between truth and error. Even if we give the benefit of the doubt to each of them, it is beginning to wear very thin.

Everyone knows how important I believe it is to avoid insisting that we know Pope Francis means X when he says something that sortakindabutnotnecessarily refers to X. So I did not write my latest In Depth Analysis on a mere whim: On speaking the truth: Is confusion the chief “Francis effect”?

Speaking of which, our Catholic World News service has reported that a Spanish cardinal faces 'hate crime' charge for denouncing gender theory. Sadly, this was to be expected. (It's the new tolerance.)
